Visceral Mobilisation

Visceral mobilisation is a very specific type of hands on therapy which assesses and treats dysfunction of the internal body structure.

During the day our body organs and structures move. The internal organs can move 30,000 times a day! We need this movement to aid their normal and optimum function. Organs can get restricted by trauma, infections, surgeries, scar tissue / adhesions, changes in breathing pattern and this can effect their function. Symptoms can include pain, discomfort, changes to bladder and bowel function (constipation, urinary urgency / frequency) pelvic pain (endometriosis, period pain) dysfunctional breathing pattern, reflux.

With visceral mobilisation we can help to restore movement, reduce adhesions and optimise organ function which in turn can help reduce your symptoms.
